VeriMom provides a pregnancy-safe skincare ingredient analysis service. The Service includes:

• An ingredient safety database compiled from publicly available sources including the EU CosIng database, ECHA hazard classifications, PubChem, and PubMed research.
• Product scanning via AI-powered image recognition to extract and analyze ingredient lists from product labels.
• Safety scoring algorithm that computes risk assessments based on hazard, mechanism, and exposure data.
• AI chat assistant ("Vera") that provides general skincare guidance during pregnancy.
• Product browsing, favourites, and scan history features for registered users.

THE SERVICE IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.

All information provided by VeriMom, including safety scores, risk assessments, ingredient analyses, and AI chat responses, is for educational and informational purposes only. This information is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Always consult your healthcare provider (obstetrician, midwife, dermatologist, or other qualified medical professional) before using any skincare product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Safety scores are computed algorithmically from publicly available data and may not reflect all risks, individual sensitivities, allergies, or interactions with medications.
• The absence of a hazard flag in our database does not guarantee that an ingredient is safe for all individuals or all stages of pregnancy.
• Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information obtained from the Service.
• Our AI assistant Vera provides general guidance only. Vera's responses should not be treated as medical recommendations.

If you have any concerns about a skincare product during pregnancy, stop using it and consult your healthcare provider immediately.

While we strive for accuracy and regularly update our database, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free:

• Safety classifications may change as new scientific research becomes available.
• Our database currently covers over 28,000 ingredients but may not include all cosmetic ingredients in existence.
• AI-powered product scanning relies on image quality and may not always accurately identify products or extract ingredient lists.
• Product formulations may change without notice from manufacturers. The information in our database may not reflect the most recent formulation.

To access certain features, you may create an account via Google or Apple OAuth. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Not share your account credentials or allow unauthorized access.
• Not use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar mechanisms to access the Service without our written permission.
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Not submit false, misleading, or harmful content through any feature of the Service.
• Comply with rate limits and fair usage policies. Excessive automated requests may result in temporary or permanent access restrictions.

The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, database structure, safety scoring methodology, branding, and content, is owned by VeriMom and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

• You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
• Ingredient safety data sourced from public databases (CosIng, ECHA, PubChem) is used under their respective terms and is available to the public.
• Our proprietary scoring algorithm, risk band classifications, and curated safety assessments are our intellectual property.
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service or its content without our prior written consent.

Certain premium features may require a paid subscription in the future. If and when subscription services are introduced:

• Subscription terms, pricing, and billing cycles will be clearly displayed before purchase.
• Subscriptions will be managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, subject to their respective terms and refund policies.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• VeriMom and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
• We are not liable for any health outcomes, allergic reactions, skin conditions, or other adverse effects that may result from your use of skincare products, regardless of whether you relied on information from the Service.
• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms of Use.
• Abusive, excessive, or automated usage that degrades the Service for others.
• Fraudulent or illegal activity.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability, intellectual property, and governing law) shall survive.
